Comment: The scene from my balcony after a freak sudden snowstorm a few weeks ago.
IMG_0525 * This is the staggeringly lovely arrangement of handmade chocolates that Kana gave to me on Valentine's Day. She messed with me by first giving me a really tacky, cheap store-bought present, then said just kidding! and pulled this one out. I was speechless. Inside, there were cookies made with different colored doughs, and chocolate tarts decorated with gold leaf. I had always wondered what kind of thing I might get if I ever managed to have a Japanese girlfriend on Valentine's Day, but this went way beyond my expectations. * 3264 x 2448 * (3.69MB)

IMG_0612 * This is 1-7, the all-star first year class that I can't possibly say enough good things about. They're easily the best first year class I've ever had, and possibly the best class I've ever had, period. This was taken on our last class together. I'll see them all around next year of course, but I'll never have them together in the same class again, which is really an incredible shame. * 3264 x 2448 * (3.66MB)
